Australia versus New Zealand
Both flags carry the Union Jack in the canton and the Southern Cross on a blue field. Australia adds a large white seven-pointed Commonwealth Star below the canton and shows five white stars in the cross. New Zealand has only four red stars edged in white, no Commonwealth Star.
Compare the Union Jack group
Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tuvalu have the Union Jack in the upper hoist corner. Compare the other stars and emblems: Fiji has a coat of arms, while Tuvalu has yellow stars on a light-blue field.
Single-symbol Pacific flags
Vanuatu shows a black-edged horizontal Y with a yellow boar's tusk and namele leaves. Papua New Guinea splits red and black diagonally with a bird of paradise and the Southern Cross. The Marshall Islands radiates twenty-four white rays from a star at the hoist. One unique symbol locks the country.
Separate Tonga and Samoa
Tonga has a white canton containing a red cross. Samoa has a blue canton containing the Southern Cross. Both use a red field, so inspect the canton before choosing the country.

Use its marker on the globe. Rotate toward the appropriate island group and zoom in until you can distinguish the markers. A correct click does not automatically recenter the view for the next flag.
Are French and American territories included?
No. The full Oceania flag selection contains 14 countries and territories, listed in the grid. New Caledonia, French Polynesia, Wallis and Futuna, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa and Tokelau are not included in the current playable dataset and cannot be enabled in the settings. The short starter round uses only a subset of the full selection.
